I realised the other day we actually have some of Enoch’s physical DNA in us. He was the grandfather of Noah and since Noah and his kids & wives is our genetic line, there’s a little bit of Enoch in all of us! We have some good parentage! We have some good family history to build on.
Enoch has become a great inspiration to me. Those of you who’ve listened to the Podcasts will know the journey that I’ve had with this man. He is a big part of mentoring this generation, and has a big stake in what’s going on. He saw this day, prophesied about it, and shaped his life to be a part of it.
He was one that blurred the boundaries between seen and unseen even before the Cross. He walked in faith in the goodness of Papa. The coming generation of church is going to do the same. It’s going to be inherently supernatural even as it is natural. Rick Joyner in his inspirational book Torch and the Sword (in which he also meets Enoch) says-
“True church life the way it was intended to be is a supernatural experience. It is life from another realm beyond this earth that brings true life to earth.” Joyner
Enoch is the example – 7th from Adam: Number of Fulfilment. It represents the END, a people of rest, a completion of the weeks of time. The Bible records this amazing testimony about his life-
“Because of faith Enoch was caught up & transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased & been satisfactory to God” Enoch – Heb 11:5
Wow wow wow! There’s so much there you could drink it for a year! Other translations say this –
“he disappeared, because God took him” NLT
“It was faith that kept Enoch from dying” GNTO
“By an act of faith Enoch skipped death completely” MES
But what he walked in was not just for him, it was for us a generation in the far distance. This is what he records in the Ethiopic book of Enoch (sometimes called Book 1 – it’s the one referred to in the book of Jude and used in early church history – the genuine one)-
“I Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy Ones in the heavens which the angels have shown me and from them I heard everything. And from them I understand what I saw, but not for this generation but for a remote one to come” Enoch
His lifestyle of heavenly adventure – which also shaped Earth, and Noah is for us. Living heaven to earth. Blurring the edges.
“Enoch was hidden from the Children of men. They had no idea where his abode was or what had become of him as his activities had connections with they who were called the watchers of the great holy One. His life was spent with these holy ones.”
The Bible hints at this possibility throughout. You just need Papa to show you where the gold is hidden. Here’s one example-
We all know the story in Mat 25:5–6 about the Foolish Virgins. In church circles they always preach about having oil and not being foolish. But that’s not the whole point. They might have had oil but they were still asleep and unaware of what was going on in the unseen world. There is another person in the story- hidden but right in front of our noses- Read this-
“The Bridegroom didn’t show up when they expected him, and they all fell asleep. In the middle of the night someone yelled out, “He’s here! The Bridegroom’s here! Go out and greet him!”
Who’s the someone? I want to propose it’s those who walk like Enoch. Those who know he’s coming because they see him in Heaven, they walk with him as Lovers, they saw him move from his throne to return. This is the invitation – to see him. Rick Joyner writes-
“Those who answer the call will be caught up into the Spirit with the result that they will ALWAYS be seeing the One who sits of the throne. This is the purpose of all true prophetic revelation- seeing the glorious Christ & the authority that he now has over all”
Jesus told Rick “It’s time to show the world heaven exists” and I believe it. So today I am honouring our Grandpa Enoch. He showed us the way, he is still alive, and the same spiritual door which is Christ is wide open. The law of focus, honouring and faith opens up this limitless possibility through our union in Christ. He is the door and that door is hidden in our hearts. We have access. We are accepted. He is calling us upwards.
Desire propels us. Love is the fuel. Jesus owns the skies and in him so do we. It is time to arise… Do you hear it?
In his bliss, Justin Abraham
