*BLOG: Life flows through honour

We’ve been slowly learning a valuable lesson. A lesson that has changed our lives for the better that I want to share with you. It is this- Life flows through honour. That heaven isn’t just power, it is also a CULTURE. It is a way of treating people and the world around you.

What does that mean? It means that when you value something (honouring) and you focus on it, you begin to receive LIFE from that thing you are valuing- whether it is the things of heaven above, the angelic or people, the principle works the same.

Some people never experience or see angels because they don’t value the unseen. They are anchored in the seen. But when we begin to set our eyes on the unseen eternal realm, slowly but surely things begin to change. We begin to sense and see. Heaven responds.

It’s the same with people. If we see who they really are, how God sees them, if we can value and love them even in their difference, we begin to see the beauty hidden inside, we begin to receive the value they bring to the world. Life flows through honour. Honour opens up our hearts.

The truths is we need each other. We are made to exist in community.

This is a great mystery, a great secret. If we can embrace honouring as a lifestyle then life will flow all around us. If we love because we are loved, we live love on purpose. Love always on. Love that never fails. It becomes who we are and what we do. And through that beauty we make the wilderness bloom, we pull the best out of the world and people around us.

There is sometimes humiliation in going lower, even pain, honouring and being kind to those that we might think are undeserving or even difficult, or hurt us, but if we embrace the pain it becomes our bliss. We are dignified by the indignity. Daddy smiles on pleased. He sees His son in us.

I don’t feel like I’ve got there. I don’t feel like I’m anywhere close. But I know what I’ve seen and we’re going for it.

In his endless bliss, Justin Abraham
