I had a dream which I think is really relevant moving into 2012. You ready? Here goes-
This dream was very unusual and very funny. I got up in the night and I walked into the bathroom and there looking back at me in the mirror was a face but it wasn’t mine! It was a big cartoon head with huge teeth smiling! Haha! It looked so funny.
On the teeth were braces – you know the structure the Dentist puts on your teeth to bring them closer together to make the perfect smile. I laughed. Dream ended.
I knew immediately what the Spirit was saying in the dream. For me teeth speak prophetically of relationships (it can also mean Wisdom but in this instance it meant relationships). Steve Thompson in his excellent book on the Prophetic “You may all Prophesy” says this –
“In Song of Solomon 4:2 and 6:6 the brides teeth are described as flocks of sheep – ‘Your teeth are like a flock of shorn sheep’. Sheep in scripture generally represent people, and flocks speak of groups of people or relationships” (Page 65)
I was familiar with this concept and knew teeth meant relationships. But what about the braces? Braces are a deliberate structure to pull teeth together and bring alignment. I knew that structure was needed, some effort, to get the relationships closer together. There were gaps between the teeth in the dream and they needed some pulling. Haha! They looked so big those cartoon teeth! Don’t think I’ve ever had a dream like it. Didn’t even know we could dream in cartoon! Ha! Jesus is fun.
Interpretation – it fits with something really important in these stormy times of economic shaking & global environmental pressures. It’s about community and the importance of friendships to weather the days we’re living in. He’s restoring family, community, releasing a pure holy addiction to each others company. Pulling us together. Spirit School was just one way in which we’ve been responding. Deliberate space to gather.
I saw a vision of the year 2015. In this vision I saw a group of people spending time together and none of them really had money to go out. But they were laughing and happy. Friendships is a major anti-depressant. Have you ever felt down and then grabbed a coffee with a friend or gone for a walk with someone and then the whole world seems bright? That’s the way Papa designed it! He has an amazing dream- something that he started in Acts but wants to finish again even better as the world hits some serious turbulence. This dream-
“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No-one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them… The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. No-one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.”Acts 4:32-34, 5:12-16.
We love HIS dream… we want it in Wales & beyond… yummy! It’s ours. It’s going to emerge again right across Europe, the USA, wherever people align with what Holy Spirit is doing in our day. Beyond church!
Every journey starts with a small step… it takes effort… it takes a decision
So in 2012 our encouragement is to take the journey… trust the Dentist! He’ll show ya! You and we need glory friends & happy community- Invest in Spirit led relationships! Work at them, make time for others, invite people over, arrange glory nights, make space in your heart, have pamper parties! Go out and gate crash someone’s afternoon. Invite people to the movies. Whatever makes that connection deeper even moving to the right City, the right place. Be brave! Don’t be shy! Push through the discomfort.
As papa Bill Johnson says “That’s a Good word!
Merry Christmas! Justin Abraham
