There’s a place… a real place… that is irresistible to the Seeker.
A hidden place. An obscure place. The black cloud of His presence. The place where Moses walked…
“The people kept their distance while Moses approached the thick cloud where God was… Moses entered the middle of the Cloud and climbed the mountain. Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.”
Can you imagine that? The mountain looked like a roaring fire, with thunder and lightning. Everyone stood back. One man dared to walk right in and stand in the midst of the black cloud. What did he see? What did he feel? Did he sleep or eat or even need to drink? Incredible!
And yet the bible says this lifestyle, this relationship that Moses had was just a glimpse of the future. “God had a better plan for us” (Heb 11:40), a greater agreement. How can this be? Moses lived in the Cloud , spoke to God face to face without riddles but as friends, he effected a nation. That’s amazing!
I think it’s time to get serious about the Cloud again. In a day where supernatural encounters are scorned by both old and new movements, the Bible says we are going to see increasing “Divinely appointed appearances”, hear “Divine counsels” and have more prophetic experiences than any generation before us:
“I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams. Yes, and on My menservants also and on My maidservants in those days I will pour out of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels and predicting future events pertaining especially to God’s kingdom]. Acts 2 (AMP)”
Whilst some back away in fear, unbelief, or complacent satisfaction, there is a call, a high call to hide away to the hungry, to become obscure, to once more enter the Black Cloud and see His face. This is the Mystic realm of God.
“And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him]” Gen 5:24
Blurring the boundaries like Enoch. Those who have set their hearts, affections and minds on things above:
“Pursue with diligence the consequence of your co-inclusion in Christ. Relocate yourself mentally! His resurrection co-raised you to the same position of authority, seated in the strength of God’s right hand. Becoming affectionately acquainted with Throne Room thoughts will keep you from being distracted again by the earthly (soul-ruled) realm. Your union with His death broke the association with that world; the secret of your life now is the fact that you are wrapped up with Christ in God.” Col 3:1-3
A generation who live in Divine Obscurity. A generation who will change the outcome of nations.
